The entry fee for foreign tourists is 220,000 IDR on weekdays. It rises to 320,000 IDR on weekends and public holidays. This does not include jeep rentals or organized tours.
Yes, you can hike from Cemoro Lawang village. The walk down into the Sea of Sand and across to the crater takes 45 to 60 minutes one way. Private 2WD vehicles are prohibited.

What an unforgettable experience! The pre-dawn trek into the Ijen Volcano to see the blue flames was otherworldly. Guide Rafa was such a kind and patient guide, making sure everyone in the join-in group felt safe and comfortable on the challenging terrain. The transport was efficient. This tour is a powerhouse of natural wonder and a true test of endurance!
This tour was the perfect escape into raw nature! The Mount Bromo Sunrise photos don't even do it justice. The entire logistic setup, from the food breaks to the transfers, was executed flawlessly by YKExplore. The mountain accommodation was cozy and exactly what we needed after the early 3 AM wake-ups. Excellent organization for this complex itinerary!
We had a good visit to Mount Bromo with SmartWay Tours. Nabil guided us from our hotel in Malang to the Vulcano in a jeep driven by Mr. Dika and we stopped in several stops around the area watching the sunrise and going back on time in the morning. Very recommended.
